The nature of our services relies not only on the skills we bring to the table- but we are also fortunate enough to be able to collaborate with and source skilled and talented artists and tradesmen to bring you our collective best! 

MY STORY

From the earliest age, I have always had pencil in hand, drawing, designing and ‘fixing’ broken house drawings to make them beautiful. I was privileged to have some phenomenal art teachers growing up, with very different approaches to art which was wonderful for encouraging and nurturing both natural creativity as well as learning the art of observation and drawing with accuracy.

Matriculating from the National School of the Arts in Braamfontein in ‘95, I decided to move down to Cape Town and study fashion design at the Haute Couture School of Fashion Design- where I received an incredibly sound foundation in the fundamentals of pattern making.

Life often has its own journey for us- and so for the next 14 years or so, I worked in a variety of professions from hand painted linen to fine art, teaching art and running an art school, illustration for children’s books, and designing for a large kid’s furniture and linen brand. I then had a gap and was able to pursue another huge love of mine- which was interior design/ decorating. So, in 2008 studied at Inscape Design.

Again, life had its own ideas and, taking a large leap away from my creative path, I stepped into the film industry where I have been for the last 9 years, learning valuable lessons in communication, establishing great relationships, negotiating and of course the ability to work in a very fast paced industry.

Finally I am able to put all the facets together- all that I am passionate about and love- and so, Curate My World has come about. I am very excited to be in this place, here to stay and look forward to all the exciting projects awaiting!
